Pain Recovery Coaching is a highly personalised approach to helping you recover from persistent and often disabling back pain without the use of low value treatments such as manipulation, acupuncture and pills (for more about this click here).
By understanding the whole picture of how your pain has emerged from your lifestyle and often unhelpful habits, we can create logical, sensible solutions for you to start working on straight away.
Recovering from pain takes time, patience and a willingness to change.
If you have hope, you can change.

The Process
Every story of pain is unique and so we begin with giving you the space to tell the whole story of when pain became part of your life. Even this can allow you to begin making links between times of your life and when pain appeared.
Back pain is rarely caused by anything serious, but we do not want to miss anything nasty which is why a physical examination is performed and any recommendations to see your GP can be made.
The examination will focus on the movements and positions that you find are aggravating to your pain so that we can understand what we need to work on.
You should leave the first visit (up to 90 minutes, £75) with the beginnings of finally understanding why your pain has lasted so long. You will have some homework to do.
Your follow ups (30 - 45 minutes, £50, usually between 4 - 8 are needed) will build up your understanding of your pain and we will work on exercises to control pain and increase movement at a pace to suit you.
I am here to guide you through what can be a confusing journey. I will want to hear all about the things that frustrate you and you can ask me anything that you need to know that will help you feel more in control.
